20-Knipser Pileup Just Outside Blumenort

BLUMENORT, MB

Bad weather this weekend led to a massive pileup of knipsers in the Blumenort church basement multi-purpose room.

“First there were just one or two knipsers in the 15-point zone, but it didn’t take long and more than a dozen other knipsers got backed up in there,” explained Pastor Dave. “It got pretty bad. I think a couple knipsers even wound up in the ditch.”

Dozens of Blumenorters descended on the church basement for hot chocolate and games such as Dutch Blitz and knipsbrat and this is exactly how the troubles started.

“We had folks coming in from Ridgewood and Blumenhof and who knows where yet,” said Pastor Dave. “I’ve learned that some of them can’t knips very well at all. From now on our crokinole tournaments will be Blumenorters only.”

Such poor knipsing was on display that they went an entire round where not a single knipser went into the 20-hole and all 24 knipsers were left on the board at the end of the round.

“I’m not saying who is to blame,” said Pastor Dave. “But that’s the last time we let Hans Wiebe anywhere near the knipsbrat board with his shuffleboard powder.”

The entire church elder board and a few stray members of the young people’s group have been working tirelessly to clean up the huge pileup of knipsers, though authorities say it may take them until sometime next week before the playing surface is back to normal.
