PHILADELPHIA, PA
The Phillies are in class by themselves this year after winning a little bit over half their games so far this year.
“I’ve never see a team dominate like this before,” said baseball commentator Russ Wenger. “What are they winning – 59 or 60% of their games this year? Impressive!”
Winning a smidge over half their games has put the Phillies in first place and made them a real contender for the World Series.
“You know it’s all about hard work,” said Wenger. “When you play at this level, it’s not so easy to beat your opponents every once in a while.”
Most impressive is the fact that the Phillies have managed to keep their loses to just under half the games they play.
“Right now there’s like a 40% chance you’ll see them lose when you come to the ballpark,” said Wenger. “I like those odds.”
Wenger said he was also really excited about this new batter who has only failed to do this job of getting a hit about 70% of the time.
