Carney Vows to Move Brookfield HQ to Old Barn Outside La Crete, Alberta

LA CRETE, AB

In a stirring exhibition of patriotism, Liberal leader Mark Carney has vowed to move Brookfield HQ and all their employees back to Canada.

“We’ve got the old Krahn place up near La Crete,” said Carney. “It’s a bit of a drive, but it’ll give us a chance test out the company limousines on our smooth northern Alberta gravel roads.”

Carney was born just a day’s drive north of La Crete in Fort Smith, NWT, and says his employees are going to love the new location.

“We’ve got fishing, quading, church – you name it,” said Carney. “I just hope the roof on the old barn holds up.”

Carney says he’s really sorry for moving Brookfield to New York days before Trump took office and says he’s happy to remedy that all now by moving it up to La Crete.

“New York has Wall Street, La Crete has a lot of Walls,” said Carney. “New York may have West Village, but La Crete has a Mennonite Heritage Village. Plus we’ve got better hockey.”

Carney says he admits the move may look suspicious, but claims he’s put all his schmaunt fat stock in a blind trust.
