Dating Mennonite Couple Solidify Relationship By Sharing Co-op Number

WINKLER, MB

Corny Wall of Winkler shared with Co-op number with his girlfriend Aganetha this week, a gesture that has sent rumours through the community.

“I wouldn’t be surprised if one of these Sunday’s after the regular service we’re asked to stick around to witness their nuptials,” said Mrs. Loewen. “One you get to sharing a Co-ops number it’s only a matter of time.”

Rumours have it, however, that Corny is getting cold feet.

“Alls I did is tell her ‘60669,”” said Corny. “I had no idea that meant we were engaged or anything.”

Aganetha is already planning her baptism, so it’s only a matter of time before the two of them get hitched.

“Co-ops number followed by a baptism,” said Mrs. Loewen. “If that’s a not a sign that wedding bells are in the air, then I don’t know what is yet.”

Mrs. Loewen has already got the church ladies rolling up slices of processed ham for the wedding faspa.

“Corny may not know it yet, but he’s betrothed that young woman now,” said Mrs. Loewen. “There’s no going back on a Co-ops number.”
