WINNIPEG, MB
Starting next year, each regular season game of the Winnipeg Jets will be featured on its own channel or streaming service.
“Gone are the days when it was all on TSN Jets,” says teams spokesperson Erin Neufeld. “We figured fans preferred a bit of variety, so next year you’re going to have to subscribe to 82 different channels to get all 82 games.”
The season will begin on TSN, as usual, before switching to CBC, Sportsnet, Prime, Netflix, Disney+, Hulu, Apple TV, YouTube, Discovery, HGTV, Al Jazeera English, the Weather Channel, and the Gospel Broadcasting Network.
“And the list goes on,” said Neufeld. “We’re also going to feature a new channel dedicated exclusively to telling you which channel the Jets game is on.”
Fans are already really looking forward to the changes.
“Hey, I’m not sure what their strategy is, but you know, I think this might motivate me to attend a game in person for once,” said Jets fan Colin Timothy Unrau. “With the cost of all these subscription services, I could easily afford season tickets.”
Starting next year, home games will also feature 82 varieties of hot dogs and 82 different IPAs.
