American Soldiers Accidentally Invade Greenland Road

GREENLAND, MB

The tiny hamlet of Greenland, Manitoba was on high alert this week after a troop of US soldiers came marching through town.

“They’re preparing for the Trump inauguration I guess,” said Mr. Toews. “I tried to tell them they’ve got the wrong Greenland, but they wouldn’t believe me.”

Toews informed the troops that they’d have to keep on going north if they wanted to reach their target.

“Keep on schlepping north,” said Toews. “Way past Arborg yet somewheres.”

The troops claimed they were just following orders, though some admitted to being a little perplexed about their military objectives in the region.

“First of all, the folks around here didn’t even put up a fight,” said Constable Smith. “All they did was hand us a few Bible leaflets and sent us on our way.”

US troops were also apparently a little suspicious that the Greenlanders had tried to offer them borscht.
