Tina Yoder, 61, of Elkhart had just got out of the theology class she’s been auditing, when she decided she needed to stop by at the grocery store for a few items before heading home.
“I grabbed some Greek yogurt, a box of granola, and a nice bundle of fresh yellow bananas,” said Yoder. “I was really looking forward to sitting down and watching Game of Thrones with my snack.”
But it was not meant to be, because somehow in the 12 minute drive between the grocery store and her home, the bananas had turned completely brown.
“I reached into my bag and I knew something was amiss,” said Yoder. “I’d never seen such a rapid banana transformation in my life.”
Yoder says she really doesn’t like these new improved bananas that turn brown the instant they enter your house.
“But I guess I’ll be making a whole lot of banana bread,” said Yoder. “And, you know, to put it in perspective, you should see what happened to the fresh vine-riped tomatoes I bought.”
