OTTAWA, ON
In a 6-3 decision, the Supreme Court of Canada ruled today that “curling is actually a real sport, eh.”
“Weighing all the evidence, it’s quite clear that curling is a sport,” said Judge Plett. “I mean, the precedent has already been set with golf and five-pin bowling.”
The judges felt that there was some degree of physicality involved, curling could be classified as a sport and not merely a game.
“Just because your Onkel Henry can play it well into his 90s, doesn’t mean it’s not a sport,” said Plett. “We’re also voting yes on shuffleboard and backgammon.”
The court is also set to rule on crokinole sometime this spring.
