PHILADELPHIA, PA
A US Presidential candidate is now claiming he was talking about “hot dogs and catsup” and that the media is just twisting his words to make him look bad.
“I like a good dog with a squeeze of catsup myself,” said the candidate. “You know, it wasn’t even a criticism.”
The candidate says he didn’t mean anything bad by it and that some folks just “take everything the wrong way.”
“So unfair. So unfair,” said the candidate. “You can’t even talk about a nice juicy frankfurter these days without people getting the wrong idea.”
He later clarified that this “frankfurter” comment had nothing to do with any sketchy allegiance with Germany.
“They’re trying to make me look bad,” said the candidate. “Those meanies.”
The entire city of Chicago was in uproar over the candidate’s comments, mostly due to the fact that he though ketchup was an acceptable condiment for hot dogs.
