Area man Garth Siemens couldn’t figure out what happened to his iPhone screen this afternoon.
“I was just sitting there watching the first church softball game of the season,” said Siemens. “And the next thing you know, my phone was all scratched up.”
Siemens immediately took the phone to the local repair shop to get it checked out.
“I know exactly what this is. I’ve seen this many times before,” said cell phone mechanic Bob Thiessen. “The culprit is always the same – pocket zoat.”
Siemens says he’s going to be more careful from now on, but says he hasn’t yet sworn off the zoat.
“My cargo shorts have more pockets than I know what do with,” said Siemens. “So from now on it’s iPhone in one, zoat in one, another for a Papsi, and another for a Ravel.”
Thiessen warns Siemens not to get too confident about his new system as he still needs somewhere to put the rapple chaps.
