MILWAUKEE, WI
Moments after being announced as Trump’s new running mate, Senator JD Vance picked up a nearby guitar and serenaded the audience with his rendition of “Take Me Home Country Roads.”
“People were smiling and clapping,” said Vance. “Some were even singing along.”
Once he had the crowd warmed up, Vance launched into a few crowd favourites like “Orange Blossom Special” and “Blue Moon of Kentucky.”
“I’m shocked the secret service let me up there on that tractor,” said Vance. “Actually, on second thought, I’m not actually so surprised.”
The concert went on for quite some time before Vance stopped the tractor to let Marjorie Taylor Green hop on board, so the two of them could perform “Duelling Banjos”.
