Mennonite Man Can’t Stop Laughing at Corny Jokes

WINKLER, MB

Mr. Corny Toews of Blumenhof doesn’t have much of a sense of humour. He doesn’t like satire, he hates parody, and isn’t too keen on observational humour. The only thing Mr. Toews seems to enjoy is a good Corny joke.

“If it makes everyone else groan, I’m all for it,” said Corny. “Dad jokes and puns really get me going. If it’s Corny, count me in!”

Some of Corny’s favourite jokes include:

  1. When is a door not a door?
    1. When it’s ajar.
  2. What’s the difference between the bird flu and the swine flu?
    1. One requires tweetment and the other an oinkment.
  3. What do you call a pig that does karate?
    1. A pork chop.

Corny was found laughing hysterically at all these jokes, long after everyone else had rolled their eyes and gone to bed.

“Diewel, I just can’t stop laughing,” said Corny. “Oh did you hear the one about the Mennonite man who won an award? Yeah, he was outstanding in his field!”
