AYLMER, ON
Area man Garry Kehler, 57, was very impressed with the huge portions of grisly disgusting “beef” he received at his favourite local diner Dave’s Feeding Trough.
“Nobody else is doing portion sizes like this,” said Kehler, the grease dripping off his plate as he held it up for the cameras. “Too many restaurants are focused on quality and cooking techniques and flavour instead of what really counts – portion size.”
Kehler didn’t come close to finishing the slop on his plate, but felt it was one of the best meals of his life.
“I haven’t had this much leftover in years,” said Kehler. “You know that’s always a sign of a top quality meal.”
Kehler admits that some of the extra size may be attributed to a lot of gnurple and gristle but claims it’s all just common sense and good value.
“Gotta get my bang for the buck,” said Kehler, “even if that means chewing on a piece of old dairy cow for an hour just to choke it down.”
Kehler’s wife Lois on the other hand says she doesn’t think size really matters, but would not confirm whether she was referring to the evening’s meal.
