Area woman Anne Martin has big special plans for this Friday evening.
“Let me guess, you want to snuggle and watch ‘Marley and Me’ for the 700th time?” said husband Bob. “Alright, fine, I’ll pop the popcorn.”
The tradition began about ten years ago, when Anne tricked her husband into watching it by saying it was a movie about reggae music.
“Yeah, I could tell five minutes in she had mislead me,” said Bob. “I guess I was just waiting in vain …”
Over the years, however, Bob has been handsomely rewarded for watching his wife’s favourite movie.
“Got an extra afternoon nap last time,” said Bob. “She even locked the door and joined me.”
Bob is hoping to repay the favour by forcing his wife to watch ‘Saving Private Ryan’ for the 700th time.
