Mennonite Woman Sings So Beautifully Out Her Nose

LEAMINGTON, ON

Mrs. Brandt had the congregation in silent awe this week with her stirring rendition on “Oh Little Town of Bethlehem” which she managed to sing completely through her nose without ever opening her mouth.

“No one is as delightfully shrill and monotone as Ruth Brandt,” said Tina Lemke. “I always look forward to her special numbers. They truly are special.”

Brandt carried on with several other seasonal favourites, each of which was sung slightly out of tune and as nasal as possible.

“And when the rest of the Brandt sisters went up there, I was nearly in tears,” said Lemke. “They truly have such beautiful singing nostrils.”

The congregation was then asked to sing along to “Away in a Manger,” but no one could quite sing through their noses as skillfully as Mrs. Brandt.
