Mennonite Woman’s Medicine Cabinet Filled with Brandy

ROSTHERN, SK

Area woman Ruth Penner, 71, felt a sniffle coming on his morning and decided she needed to check her medicine cabinet to see what she had in stock.

“Ahh, I think this should fix me right up,” said Penner. “In fact, I’m not so sure I have a sniffle after all.”

Penner rummaged around in her cabinet to select her medicine.

“Hmm, what shall it be today? Remy Martin or Courvosier?” wondered Penner. “Well, it’s still the morning, I guess I should just stick with a snifter of Hennessey for now.”

Penner says she’s against drinking and only take a wee bit of brandy for medicinal purposes.

“Or sometimes a splash of Bailey’s in my coffee,” said Penner, “if I’m feeling under the weather, that is.”

According to many, Penner has best collection of rare and fine medicines in all of Rosthern, Saskatchewan.
