Steinbach Finally Gets an Authentic Mexican Restaurant

STEINBACH, MB

Several years after an earlier version of the same restaurant shuttered its doors, Taco Bell is once again opening in the city. The announcement is exciting locals who will finally get their authentic Mexican food fix.

“We’ve been without good authentic Mexican food since the last Taco Bell shut down,” said Mexican food aficionado Erin Neufeld. “I’m also as excited about this as I was when the Jets returned.”

Neufeld is especially looking forward to traditional Mexican dishes such as the Cheesy Gordita Crunch, the Chicken Chalupa, and the Crunchwrap Supreme.

“Oh, and those hard shell tacos they make from Doritos,” said Neufeld. “I think my mom used to make those back in Chihuahua.”

Even though the building has not finished construction, Steinbachers are already lining up outside the restaurant.

“I’m gonna call the cops if this line gets too long,” said Neufeld, who plans to be in line until the restaurant opens sometime this winter. “Gotta be first in line for a taste of that super authentic Mexican Chili Cheese Fries.”
