International pop superstar Taylor Swift took to the stage in Toronto last night wearing a Winnipeg Blue Bombers jersey, apparently her boyfriend’s favourite team.
“I’m not sure if this is good luck or bad luck, but it’s certainly a sight to behold,” said Bombers fan Olga Klippenstein who was at the concert in the front row. “I just wish the jersey had a few more sequins on it.”
The Blue Bombers are set to face none other than the Toronto Argonauts in the Grey Cup tonight, but Taylor didn’t let that stop her from expressing her love for the Blue Bombers.
“Go Bombers go!” said Taylor to a chorus of cheers at the Rogers Centre.
Early reports indicate that most of the cheering came from all the Mennonite women who travelled from Manitoba for the concert. Oddly enough, not a single Toronto resident objected to the jersey as they had no idea who or what the “Argonauts” are anyway.
