Thousands of Partiers Show Up to Mennonite Man’s “Hot New Disco”

HOCHFELD, MEXICO

Equipped with bellbottoms and Bee Gees records, thousands of eager dancers showed up in the tiny village of Hochfeld, Mexico this week for what promised to be the “hottest disco in all of Chihuahua.”

“Ah, ah, ah, ah, stayin’ alive! Stayin’ alive,” yelled the eager crowd. “Do the hustle! I will survive!”

The man behind the hottest disco in Chihuahua, however, was utterly baffled by all the attention.

“I don’t know what these people want, but it sure doesn’t appear to be deliciously seasoned ground beef cooked in an agricultural disc harrow,” said Guillermo Friesen. “Quite frankly all this dancing is making me feel mighty uncomfortable.”

Still, Friesen soldiered on, cooking the most delicious disco in all of Manitoba colony.

“I’m not sure how the elders will feel about me associating with all these disco dancers, but I’m just glad they’re working up an appetite,” said Friesen. “I had no idea the sound of crackling meat was so conducive to dancing.”

Friesen plans to hold another hot disco next month, but this time he promises to grill the meat under the appropriately atmospheric lighting of a mirrorball.
