Derek Wiens, 42, was helping clean up his Oma’s apartment building this week when he stumbled upon an entire freezer packed to the brim with frozen treats.
“It’s like she was reaching across the great divide and saying, ‘hey, Derek, I’m still with you,’” said Wiens. “It’s nice to know she’s still trying to feed me from beyond the grave.”
After making the discovery, Wiens immediately pulled up this pickup truck and began loading it up.
“Gotta get this stuff out of here before the cousins catch wind of this,” said Wiens. “Looks like Oma made all my favourites.”
Upon further investigation, however, in turns out that most of the items were unidentifiable.
“Seems all the labels have fallen off,” said Wiens. “But I’ll take my chances. I’m hoping for plumemoos.”
Several minutes in the microwave revealed that what Wiens thought was plumemoos was actually a delicious beef stew from in the mid-1980s.
