Trudeau Really Hoping Everyone Judges Him on Last 9 Days Rather than First 9 Years

OTTAWA, ON

In his first major interview since retiring from politics, recently departed Prime Minister Justin Trudeau says he’s really hoping his entire legacy will be judged based on a week-and-a-half of work.

“Yeah, so, like if you can forget about the first nine years and just focus on the last few days, that would be great,” said Trudeau. “Who ever heard of SNC Lavalin anyway?”

After soaring to power on promises of electoral reform in 2015, Trudeau is hoping people have forgotten all about that.

“Ummm, so I was pretty good with Trump last week, wasn’t I?” said Trudeau. “You gotta hand it to me, I sure can finish strong.”

Trudeau will be going door-to-door in the coming months handing out free cannabis in hopes that people will remember him fondly.

“We all need to leave a legacy,” said Trudeau. “Anyone got a light?”
